HEY!!!

do u people know about the STANDARD CHARTERED marathon?

just in case some people do not know,

-.=
yes. it is held in SINGAPORE.
=.-
yes. it is an annual, MAJOR marathon event.

and another piece of information for non-runners,

=]]
full marathons are 42.195km.
=]
it is definitely NOT completed within minutes.

they invite runners from all over the world,
to challenge the standing records..

and last friday, a group of "tourists" from kenya visited my shop.
i mean the one im working at, OGAWA, in marina square.
(:

and they tried our massage chair,
liked one leg massager.

and said..
we'd come back on sunday. sunday we got the money.

then we didnt think so much..
confused. =\

and on sunday, they came back!!
wearing jerseys, windbreakers and t-shirts,
i knew they've completed the marathon.

i asked a casual question:
"you guys participated in the marathon?"

the conversation goes:

"yes"
"ohh.. so did your win?"
"yes" "OMG!! what position?"
"he.. first.."
"what about u?"
"third"
"you?" [points at other guy]
"fouth"
"him, over there?" [another guy]
"fifth"

..
..
..

so in the end, the kenya team came and got all the top few positions away.. =\

and me being the usual retarded and excited me,
asked to take photo with them.

hehe.
maybe its because im pretty,
they said ok.

and we exchanged mails so that we can stay in contact
and i can send them the photos.

group shoot.

and more individual shoots coming up..

With a time of 2hr 13min 1sec, Kibet (above), shaved more than a minute off the course record held by compatriot Elijah Mbogo, who won last year's edition.

"It has not been a good year for me, and winning in Singapore has made me happy again.' Luke Kibet, the men's champion. He had failed to complete the race at this year's Beijing Olympics and has not won since his victory in Osaka."

..
